Dirty Secrets in Buda Castle

The past is never buried. It is only waiting for a witness.

Location
Buda Castle District
Duration
2–3 hours
Difficulty
Moderate

Case briefing

A respected historian is found dead near Matthias Church, hours before unveiling documents that could rewrite a celebrated chapter of the Castle District. Police call it an accident. His rain-soaked notebook, a broken fountain pen, and a final route through sealed courtyards say otherwise.

Retrace his last night across Buda Castle, compare witness statements, and expose who was prepared to kill to keep the past respectable.

What the evidence suggests

  • Reconstruct the historian's final route through the Castle District.
  • Compare witness accounts that cannot all be true.
  • Read the physical evidence hidden in courtyards and passageways.
